ActiveXperts is working on a new build of its Mobile Messaging Toolkit.
In this new build, SMTP and POP3 will be included, to support e-mail messaging.

The mail protocols will be supported all enhanced mailing features, inclusing Unicde support, embedded attachments, secure communications (TLS/SSL).
Samples will be provided for C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, HTML, PHP, Javascript, Delphi, PowerShell and more.

July 11, 2011 – Today, ActiveXperts Software introduced ActiveXperts Mobile Messaging Toolkit.

ActiveXperts Mobile Messaging Toolkit is a new product introduced by ActiveXperts Software. This product is the successor of the SMS & MMS Toolkit. With this product, ActiveXperts aims to provide companies with a fast, reliable and easy to use toolkit for sending out and receiving SMS and Pager messages.

The product runs on Windows 2008/2008 R2/2003/7/Vista/XP in both 32bit as 64bit. It can be used with various development tools, including Visual Basic .NET, Visual C# .NET, Visual Basic, Visual C++, ASP .NET, ASP, PHP, VBScript, Borland Delphi, Borland C++ Builder and JavaScript.

New features in ActiveXperts Mobile Messaging Toolkit 6.0:
– Complete rework of the GSM, SMPP and HTTP API’s
– Added samples for USSD using GSM modems that support this
– Added samples for sending out XML documents with HTTP protocol

– GSM API supports sending as well as receiving in Text mode as well as in PDU mode
– GSM API lets user receive individual parts of multipart messages with the option to assemble them
– GSM API allows more fine grained control over sending custom commands as well as receiving data
– SMPP API now is completely asynchronous for improved performance
– SMPP API allows users to inspect delivery reports instead of automatically integrating them into the message status
– SMPP API allows option to add TLV’s to an outgoing Bind operation as well as outgoing SMS messages
– SMPP API allows users to select if outgoing multipart messages should be send using 8 bit UDH’s, 16 bit UDH’s or ‘sar’ TLV’s
– SMPP API receives multipart messages send using 8 bit UDH’s, 16 bit UDH’s or ‘sar’ TLV’s
– SMPP API introduces TLV object for easy access to attached TLV’s
– HTTP API now introduces build in command for easy URL Encoding, HEX encoding as well as Base64 Encoding
– HTTP API now introduces the option to attach custom HTTP headers
– MMS is no longer supported

In the near future, Mobile Messaging Toolkit will be extended with other mobile messaging protocols.

ActiveXperts is working on a new product called ‘ActiveXperts Mobile Messaging Toolkit’. It will replace ActiveXperts SMS and MMS Toolkit. In the new Mobile Messaging Toolkit, the non-popular MMS protocol will be removed. The GSM protocol will be improved to make it compatible with virtually any GSM modem available today. The SMPP protocol will be improved to make it compatible with virtually any SMPP provider in the world. The toolkit is expected to be released end of July 2011. In the future, ActiveXperts will add more mobile messaging protocols to this toolkit.

ActiveXperts today released a new build (5.2.11.0308) of its ActiveXperts SMS Messaging Server product. The build is a feature update: it includes a Bulk SMS Wizard. With this wizard, uses can use an external data source to send out SMS messages. Amongst the external data sources are: MS Excel, MS Access, MySQL, MS SQL Server, MS SQL Express Edition and CSV text files. To download this new build, click here.

To improve the experience of our trial users we have introduced the ActiveXperts Demo Gateway. This is our own in-house developed gateway which supports incoming SMPP as well as HTTP connections. The gateway is intended to facilitate our trial users in getting started with the SMS Messaging Server. To connect to the ActiveXperts Demo Gateway and start sending and receiving SMS Messages to and from your own mobile number you can download our trial version here. And use the Channel to set up a new SMPP or HTTP account. The default settings will connect you to our gateway.
